A TripBit is a small portable mobile WiFi device that fits comfortably in your pocket, bag, or purse and is often referred to as a hotspot or MiFi. Our device allows you to connect up to 10 devices to the internet for up to 10 hours at the highest mobile speeds available.
TripBit allows you to connect any device or brand whether it be a Mac, PC, tablet or phone.

For South Africa, our devices will keep you connected throughout the country as long as there is a 4G/LTE network.
Connection is super easy and instructions can be found in the delivery parcel or at the back of the device.
Devices for neighbouring countries can be arranged.*
Strictly European market* data plans will allow you to be connected in the Nordics & Balkans at no additional cost. This means you can pick up your device in Oslo and continue your euro-trip through to Finland, Sweden or Denmark while still being connected.
Our devices are bookable by filling out the check-out form on our website.
To ensure availability and on time delivery, we do advise you to book between 2-3 weeks in advance, however same day bookings are possible should stock be available.

The Tripbit will be delivered to your hotel, lodge or one of our +3000 pick-up/drop-off points. Usually a day or two before your arrival.
NOTE: You will receive an SMS and email with tracking link and pick-up code.
We can also deliver our devices to residential addresses within the cities we operate. (CPT & JNB)
For returns in South Africa you will be provided with an envelope to use when dropping off the device at your nearest Pargo pick-up/drop-off point.
Please confirm your preferable return location a day or two prior to returning your device. This enables us to provide you with the correct prepaid waybill-slip.
Alternatively you can deliver the device back to the reception staff at our partner hotels or lodges.
For Norway please return the device to the reception staff at our partner hotel: Comfort Borsparken.
Yes. VoIP works great! this includes: iChat, Facetime, Viber, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.
If the device is not working please call us or chat with us directly via WhatsApp or the website chat function.
To extend your rental period please use the same contact methods as mentioned above.
Our "Damage/Loss waiver" is compulsory, so should you be unfortunate enough to damage or lose your TripBit we will charge a maximum compensation charge of 95USD.
Since our devices are portable we recommend 5GHz.
5GHz provides faster data rates at a shorter distance.
2.4GHz offers coverage for farther distances, but may perform at slower speeds and is prone to interference as usually more devices are using this frequency.
While 5GHz provides faster speeds & cuts through network clutter to maximize performance, it restricts itself to a smaller coverage area.
2.4GHz should be used to connect devices for low bandwidth activities like browsing the Internet. On the other hand, 5GHz is the best option for high-bandwidth devices or activities like gaming and streaming HDTV.
